Our roadmap for Administration and Project Standardization currently focuses on creating tools to help streamline project setup and create company-wide standards along with enhancements to our data federation capabilities.
Account administrators will have the ability to view a comprehensive list of all projects that an account member is part of within the current account.
Account administrators will be able to assign an access level to account members called Standards Administrator that will only grant access to the Project Templates and Library tools.
Regional sample project templates for users in the EU region that will help to streamline their project creation process.
Our roadmap for Document Management currently focuses on delivering more controls and flexibility for the Common Data Environment along with enhancements to the approval flow, models viewing engine, and standards.
Project admins and package managers will be able to choose if files within a package remain fixed or automatically update to the current version.
Field teams will have better visibility of the custom attributes on the mobile app with a list and table view of all attributes as well as search and filter functionality.
Autodesk Docs project admins will have the ability to opt for Members with at least Create + Upload permission to transmit files to non-project members.
Our roadmap for Construction Management currently focuses on building tools that allow users to leverage models in construction, increase customization and support better control in cost and project management workflows including RFIs, Submittals and Correspondence and improve onsite scheduling.
With this API, developers will be able to establish a bi-directional workflow between Submittals in Autodesk Build and certain outside architectural software applications.
Project members will be able to reference Spec Sections from other tools.
Correspondence users will have enhanced searching and filtering abilities. A dedicated results page will provide improved navigation, and users will be able to search by terms in the body text and by attachment names.
Meetings organizers will be able to send email notifications to item assignees, either automatically when an item is assigned to them or on demand.
RFI users will be able to add Specifications and Plan Tasks as a reference from an RFI.
Schedule users will be able to add specifications as references to schedule activities and tasks within work plans.
Project members will be able to attach photos and files to individual questions or whole forms.
The new model viewer public beta can be used to create issues on 3D models.
Project teams will be able to build a system schema using an Excel document and import assets with their systems all at once. Likewise, any change to an asset system can be exported using this same schema.
Cost Management users will have enhanced tax calculation abilities including the ability to calculate inclusive tax for egMaterials Purchase Orders and facilitate capped tax.
Cost Management users will have access to a new document variable finder, helping them to find and understand what variables to use and preview formatting more easily.
Adding options in Project Settings to allow budget transfers to affect the Main Contract and have associated internal approval workflows if required for scenarios where money can be moved around but not require a formal Owner Change Order.
Cost Management will support compliance for RFQs, meaning a supplier responding to a request for a quotation will be required to add relevant compliance documentation to their submission.
Our roadmap for BIM and VDC currently focuses on bringing model qualification and conditioning to the unified platform and creating interconnected BIM solutions that provide easy access and value to stakeholders.
In Model Coordination, BIM managers will be able to determine a level offset. This offset will define a specific distance above and below the boundaries of a level to capture for coordination review.
BIM Managers will be able to more quickly visualize and browse through model property data in the object table while reviewing clashes in the model to gain a deeper understanding of clash details and how to resolve it. This release will pair red/green clash highlighting with the object table.
This enhancement to the Revit Issues Add-In will provide the ability to create Issues on the main model directly in Revit. These Issues will be available throughout the Issue Ecosystem in ACC.
Correspondence users will have a quicker way to send out a Correspondence to all members on a project. Additionally, the tool will support viewing the trimmed content of emailed replies, and iOS users will be able to create and send new Correspondence on mobile..
Our roadmap for Preconstruction currently focuses on delivering a connected and powerful preconstruction experience for bidding, risk management, quantity takeoff, and estimating to help enable contractors to quickly, and confidently win more of the right work.
In September, we introduced the Plan Room in BB Pro—a powerful new tool enabling users to easily discover projects shared publicly by general contractors and owners on BuildingConnected. Now, we’re enhancing this feature by allowing users to save specific search filters.
This API will allow for the extraction of risk flags from TradeTapp into ERP, CRM, or external systems and build advanced analytics in Power BI. Additionally, users will be able to automate flags from external systems into TradeTapp through a flag proposal or a published flag.
This development will help subcontractors with OCR-Automated W9 scanning to better help with accuracy of their company name and tax information.
Autodesk Takeoff will check for carbon values in the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) database for the MasterFormat classification codes applied in takeoff output and surface the corresponding carbon value in Autodesk Takeoff inventory. The carbon values can be overridden if needed and will be available within inventory export and snapshot comparison.
ProEst users will be able to import line items into the estimate table in ProEst using a template spreadsheet, making it easier for estimators to leverage takeoff quantities from external resources to power their estimates.
Our roadmap for Data and Intelligence currently focuses on creating in-product customizable reports, dashboards, and additional features to help companies get actionable insights from their data.
An enhancement to the Data Connector API that will allow filter by project status or list of project ID’s.
The Issue Detail Report will include any referenced attachments to the issues shown in the report.
A new card will be available via the ‘card library’ to add to any Insight dashboard with information on how many projects were created using a template.
